Attendance 31^st Logistics Conferences

On 20th and 21st April, students from the Master of Business Administration, together with other students from University Carlos III, attended the Logistics Conferences, organized by the Spanish Logistics Center. This 31st edition assembled more than two hundred professionals in the logistics field and important figures from the sector presented their experiences and programmes in order to reach the excellence in the supply chains.

We would like to thank Ramón García, Associate Professor at the Department of Business Administration in the University Carlos III, Professor of the Master in Business Administration and Innovation and Project Manager in the Spanish Logistics Center, and his agreement with the Department of Business Administration and the area of Organization Engineering of University Carlos III. It is thanks to him that our students could attend this interesting Logistics Conferences.

Ramón García took part in the conferences analyzing the research made by the Regional Employment Service of Madrid Community about the training needs that workers in logistics field have in this Community.

To sum up, underline that Elcio Mendonça, Assistant Professor at the Department of Business Administration in the University Carlos III and Professor of the Master in Business Administration, is author of the doctoral thesis awarded as finalist of the Spanish Logistics Center University 2009 Award. His work, ‘Uncertainty, Integration and Supply Flexibility’, raises the uncertainty effect, the integration and flexibility in the supply chain.
